Contemporary Architecture

This course explores the evolution of architectural styles, tracing the journey from ancient innovations to today’s contemporary approaches. Students will examine why architectural styles change, study key architects and movements, and analyze how social, cultural, and technological forces shape design. Through guided research and structured assignments, each student will explore an architect’s philosophy and develop a residential design that reflects contemporary principles without relying on software, focusing purely on theory, design thinking, and presentation.
